I would assume many of those purchases are direct to manufacturer like direct to HP? But it goes to show the margins built in. Spinning hard drives are looking more and more popular by the minute :D

I just picked up some drives for one of my servers and I ended up having to buy them refurbished from an recycling vendor. They fully warranty them, but they aren't brand new drives.
