What I knew in the 1960s was that many Tukuranons had experienced the abundance of the sea. Some of the family especially the taga-baybay, coastline dwellers as they are being called, found fortune in the fishing industry. Because of the increasing population, the government invited investors to develop the place as a tourist attraction, and now you can find beautiful beaches in the area.
Zamboanga has so many beautiful beaches 🏖️ like the Pink Beach that is famous for its pink coralline sand - have you been there? You should write it in your bucket list. Sinilog Beach with white sand, blue waters, and the like is among the breathtaking places.
This floating pontoon walkway is new to me. Indeed, it's beautifully created and surely the children love playing around. Just be on the lookout for their safety. Thanks for sharing your experience @jeanieviv84. God bless.🌷🕊️
Hello Ate @diosarich. Thank you so much for your kind words and for adding some essential information about Tukuran in the past decades! I have not been to Pink Beach yet but it’s in my list now, hahahah, you gave me the idea. The kids really enjoy the floating walkway but yes we need to watch them all the time. Hope you can visit here soon too! Maybe we can explore more hidden beaches together. I would love to explore more gems with you.
Pink Beach is located in Sta. Cruz. Is it far from your place? I've been there when I was in grade school because my grandmother had a relative in the place. Surely, when the kids see the place, they will love and enjoy the beach, especially the color of the sand. Maybe I can visit Zamboanga when I go back to Davao City. I have a sister-in-law in Zamboanga del Norte. Capitan is also a historical place. Try to visit that beautiful place as well.
