Splinterlands - Rags to Riches

One could say that I am not a newbie in Splinterlands anymore since I have been playing this game since July 2021. Soon, it is going to be full two years for me in this amazing game. In the crypto market I am even longer, since 2019 - yes like most of you I also entered at the top of the hype.

I earned some money and I lost some money but I am grateful for that as it was a valuable lesson for me. The crypto market is fast! You can get rich overnight, but you can also lose everything in one hour. It is life on steroids. It moves fast and unpredictably. Let me explain.

Life is slow. You live paycheck to paycheck. You invest something in the stock market and you earn 1 USD of dividends in a quarter. It takes a lot of time to see anything happen. And while you see some progress, bang! You are five years older. With the crypto market and Splinterlands, it is different. You can see whole economical cycles unfolding in months. Even in weeks. Splinterlands showed me what life could not. Power of discipline and consistency.

Daily rewards in Splinterlands of 0.5 USD do not seem like much. When you get 10 SPS per day it is nothing special. Every SPS, every Cent that you earn today, compounds into another that you will earn tomorrow. Yes, SPS is not worth much today, but what if it is worth 1 USD today? Would you feel different? Of course, you would. That is why I play like it is worth 1 USD, and that is why I take this game seriously. Because of the potential that Splinterlads has to be in 1, 3, 5, or x years.

If you stay disciplined and consistent all those SPS and cards will add up to an amazing portfolio. Millionaires are made now, in hard times, when no one is looking. Now it is time to fill your bags with cards, SPS, Land, and all other assets. Now, when no one is talking about NFTs, crypto, and Splinterlands.

How do I do it?

I know that it is hard and it is not inspiring when your daily gains are worth 0.2 USD. I know that is probably not worth your time. It is not worth my time either. But well, I don't play this game only because of investments. I play because it is FUN as well. But when you play something for fun you don't play it every day and you don't stress out if you miss one or two days as you won't get your rewards. How do I do it? I use bots!

Other parts of the Splinterlands

Splinterlands is an Auto-Brawler game where you pick your team and the game is automatically resolved. You can either watch the game or skip it and just collect the rewards - of course, if you won.

But there is whole another level of the game and that is the game on the Market. To be honest, I enjoy that game even more than the Battle part. Even if your BOT plays most of your games, you still need to manage your deck. Find out where the weak part of your decks is and boost it with new cards from which you will benefit the most. Yes, you can solve that problem by buying all the cards but who from us has money for that?

The land expansion will come out soon-ish. And that will be whole another part of the game. Is it time to invest in land as well? Maybe! I know that I will try.
