Of course, I reckon that the price of gold and silver is always changing. I buy a coin a week, or rather 4 coins a month. But at what point do I buy the coins?

I have the impression that whenever I buy coins, the price drops the very next day. And if I postpone buying, the price starts to rise. Actually, that's how my brain works. It mainly remembers failures.

Everybody wants to buy when the price is at a low and sell when it's at a high. But in practice, that rarely happens.

I wanted to buy last week. But I was a little sick and postponed the purchase. Of course, the price went up. But I can console myself with the fact that the price of gold and silver is steadily rising. Or is the value of fiat currencies falling?

Should I be happy that my pile of coins is appreciating in value, or should I be sad that I will buy more coins again at a higher price?

I bought this gorilla because I liked it, not because it's silver. But it is silver, I realize that. One ounce of pure silver, of course.

My last acquisition. I would pay about 10% more for the coin today than I paid for it in August. I wish I'd bought more.

Animals on coins are a popular theme. I realize that only certain countries can offer their myths and legends, architecture, historical buildings and cities, characters, personalities. But all countries can offer animals and plants on their coins.

Samozřejmě počítám s tím, že cena zlata a stříbra se neustále mění. Kupuji minci týdně, nebo spíše 4 mince měsíčně. V jakém okamžiku však mince kupuji?

Mám dojem, že kdykoli mince koupím, cena hned druhý den klesne. A když nákup odložím, cena začne stoupat. Takhle vlastně funguje můj mozek. Pamatuje si hlavně neúspěchy.

Každý chce nakupovat, když je cena nízko, a prodávat, když je vysoko. Ale v praxi se to stává jen zřídka.

Minulý týden jsem chtěl nakoupit. Ale bylo mi trochu špatně a nákup jsem odložil. Cena samozřejmě vzrostla. Ale mohu se utěšovat tím, že cena zlata a stříbra neustále roste. Nebo snad hodnota fiat měn klesá?

Mám být rád, že moje hromádka mincí nabývá na hodnotě, nebo mám být smutný, že budu kupovat další mince opět za vyšší cenu?

Tuto gorilu jsem si koupil, protože se mi líbila, ne proto, že je stříbrná. Ale je stříbrná, to si uvědomuji. Samozřejmě z jedné unce ryzího stříbra.

Moje poslední akvizice. Dnes bych za tuto minci zaplatil asi o 10 % více, než jsem za ni zaplatil v srpnu. Škoda, že jsem si nekoupil víc.

Oblíbeným tématem jsou zvířata na mincích. Uvědomuji si, že jen některé země mohou nabídnout své mýty a legendy, architekturu, historické stavby a města, postavy, osobnosti. Ale všechny země mohou na svých mincích nabídnout zvířata a rostliny.
