You have said good points and mostly getting those who are knowledgeable in the field is important and not those who just want to play around and get their money. Getting kids to learn coding at an earlier age would benefit them and just like you said, it doesn’t mean such a child would grow up to becoming a programmer, but just to have the skills and knowledge while still venturing in other fields.
