Selling the bad first before talking about the good is a nice psychological trick lol. I think if it's allowed, taking the car for a test drive gives a better scope of knowing what the problems are as opposed to hearing it from the salesman.

So funny on the episode of the old woman asking what's wrong when the car couldn't be turned on :D
