Hello Hello Hivians and welcome to the middle of the week!
I must admit I have always loved trying new things. Of course the older I get, the less dare devilish they become. No more playing the hunted in the jungle chases of the shrunken head cannibal eating Liberian Gbalin tribe for me!
No no I am too chicken for that now!
Some of you may know that Mrs T loves to collect seaglass and me loving fresh air often goes along to help / take pictures of other things!
That is some pieces of glass that we have collected from our local beach once it was rinsed and washed.
I had booked us a crafty course last Saturday 8th February 2025 to do with sea glass.
It was in a wee town called Methil which is about ten miles up the coast.
Methil is split into two parts, Upper Methil and yes Lower Methil where we were going!
This picture sums up winter weather here. We joke that if you wait five minutes the weather will change!
Look on the left and you see blue sky, but on the right it is grey and wet. It is almost as if two pictures were put together to have one shot!
There has always been a shipbuilding presence to Methil
Now they have wind turbines everywhere!
Can you see the street sign ...
Brae is Scottish for a little hill...
So it makes sense that if you are in Lower Methil, a brae would take you up to Upper Methil or simply Methil..
So turn around and you see ...
But we are staying on the level and going past this row of houses.
I love how these crescents of houses look, variety is the spice of life as they say!
It does solve parking problems.
But look at that weather!
We had taken an Xpress bus and were wealking the rest of the way, however the clouds were heavy with rain.
Unlike the US we do not take care of our servicemen and women, so it was good to see something being done here.
You can see the row of houses in Upper Methil.
Follow that wynd and you will end up at the Harbour.
Our destination Methil Heritage Centre
But can you see the purple door... It is locked!
It is 10.15am and it does not open up until 11am... and fluff it, the heavens opened ...
We needed to find shelter..
Too early to start drinking... Well now it is, in my youth of course I would have been straight in there, in fact probably stayed and miss the classπ€£
They had a cool art shop!
Do you recognise this ...
It is from Kirkcaldy and is our local heart on the promenade!
Tadaaa look we saw a Cafe!
Anything to get away from this rain which was bouncing now!
My oh My that was fluffing awesome and only cost Β£4.90.
It is worth the bus fare just to get there to eat!
But it was time to go, all of a sudden we were goign to be late!
In we dove and sat at our seat...
What was I making?
All will be revealed on Friday!
Well this post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay
All images and ramblings are from me, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated. Note images are all snapped by me with my Google Pixel 9 XL Pro smartphone on the 8th February 2025 and some were used in canva to make the lead image.

If I eat that Scottish breakfast I don't eat the rest of the day, Super Ed LOL.
This curious cat already wants to know what you did with glass for Valentine's Day ;)
It was a delicious breakfast Super Eli, the haggis was exceptional!
Ah yes the sea glass, hehe I shall write that today to post tomorrow π€£
Ah, what a great idea for Valentine's Day: make a craft together. Personally, I believe that relationships are nurtured by such details. Going for a walk, picking up pebbles, drinking coffee, eating together. Great tour and beautiful pictures, Ed! A big hug to ward off the cold :D
It is the little things that count Nancy I think. Nurturing comes in many different shapes and sizes. The wolf is always present though, and this hug is coming to Venezuela!
You and I both could have had a good time together in our youth. I have no doubt. π
The weather there reminds me of our weather here in the spring. It seems to change constantly. I too am glad they have a place for your former service members to go. It is sad they don't have more for them there. We have several organizations over here with clubs to hang out at. I don't go often, but do go to one local one occasionally for lunch. I may post about it some time when I do it again.
Looking forward to your next post.
Yeah my father in law was a veteran (air force and then a MP!) and I was pleasantly surprised at what was available in your neck of the woods. They even paid for him to do education courses and he ended up being a schools superintendant. Here some people despise ex forces personnel which winds me right up.
You should post that Joe, would be cool to see!
Yes, a good chunk of my college education was through our vet benefits. That is sad people feel like that about your service members. Sadly I think our younger generations over here are the same way. The next time I go to the club, I will try to remember to take some pics and post about it.

What a fun little excursion for the two of you. That is pretty cool. I don't know what all that stuff is on your plate, but I am glad you liked it. :)
Yeah was a fun wee morning. Black pudding and haggis were cooked to perfection.
I don't think I would enjoy those!
I have no doubt if we had meet when we were younger we would have had a blast, I always used to say as far as having a drink goes its 5PM somewhere LOL
That breakfast looks great
Looking forward to seeing what you made
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk and have a great day
Aye a blast would have been had indeed Jay. I worked with a guy in Africa from New Plymouth and three of us were so close to starting a Scottish themed bar there lol!
Hope things are good with you and enjoy the rest of the week.
