Good morning buzzers. We're buzzing ahead with plans, looking at dates, and it makes sense to start sooner rather than later to fully enjoy the year of savings on Hive! Not very sloth-like, but sometimes we just need to buzz! The early bird catches the worm right?

Buzzing is great, but when it comes to 'Savings' and stacking Hive, sometimes sloth and steady really does win the race.
First things first, big shout out to @shanibeer who started the savings challenge 5 years ago! Check out the launch post to get an idea of what we're trying to pay homage to. Not only was this a clever savings challenge, but it was also the start of an awesome community of Hive users striving towards their savings goals, encouraging and helping each other save and grow.
So, with the positive response to our last post about the idea of continuing Saturdaysavers. We've decided to push ahead with the idea.
Whilst we participated in #saturdaysavers last year. We hadn't fully understood the depth and complex nature within. Our main focus was keeping it simple, Sloth like saving towards our goals whilst posting weekly updates to keep accountability.
I believe this was the main intention of the Saturdaysavers challenge when it started, and it was the key selling point for many users. The ability to share with a community of people focusing on the same goals and find encouragement and tips along the way. The finishing motto for Saturdaysavers posts, which comes from the 'SPInvest family' (@spinvest), is 'Get Rich Slow'.
Get Rich Slow or perhaps Sloth?

The big question we have. We're more than happy to continue using the tag #saturdaysavers; it's well-known and used by many in the community. Whilst we also love it, we won't be posting on a Saturday anymore. We'll make the weekly savings posts on Thursdays. So, do we continue with #saturdaysavers or rebrand as #slothsavers?
We also had the awesome suggestion of #slothlysavers earlier, and well, we love that too. So we'll leave it up to you. When you're leaving your comments sharing your post about your savings goals. Add your vote for one of those tags; #SlothlySavers - #SlothSavers - #SaturdaySavers - #ThursdaySavers. Say that 5x fast, what a mouthful!
Community is key, make your #'s matter!
What was SaturdaySavers, or What is SlothlySavers? SlothSavers? ThursdaySavers... Not to sway anyone's vote, but SlothlySavers really does have a nice ring to it, feels easy to remember!
Get rich slothly remember. Slothbuzz goal when launching the community was to support Hive users and help small users grow. Something we've continued to pursue over the years on Hive. This new savings challenge will help us help you even more! Sloth and steady wins the race.
This post is already wordy, so we'll set out the rules and an easy-to-follow format tomorrow with the 'official' launch in week 2 of 2026! Today, I guess we could say the 'unofficial' Launch and week 1 of the Savings challenge. Let's dive into the foundations of the savings challenge and its origins on Hive.
As we mentioned, Shanibeer launched SaturdaySavers 5 years ago. The premise was simple yet brilliant. With inspiration from the '365 Penny a Day' Challenge. Hive users were encouraged to save small and daily. Building strong foundations for saving and learning new tips to manage their savings goals. Building on that, a weekly accountability trend was set. Users set out their goals at the start of the year and built towards them week by week, sharing their journey with fellow users.
As we feel this is the main focus of the savings challenge, or the aspect we seen most over Hive, this will be our focus. Althouugh we do encorage you to read the launch post of Saturdaysavers in 2021. Not only does it more fully explain the 365 Penny a Day challenge, but it also explains why so many caught the savings bug on Hive!
We're Sloths, we like to take things slow, laze back, relax! We're making this as simple as possible.

Today, we're asking you to set your savings goals. Many of you have already done this as you have the #saturdaysavers bug! Share them in the comments and continue building those connections with other savers to help each other along the way.
Your savings goals can be anything: Hive, HBD, a Hive-engine token, or even 1 penny/cent a day. Sloth and steady wins the race. It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you don't stop. Hive fits nicely with that motto too, your power continues to grow or 'save' as long as you're active!
We love Hive Power goals, they show commitment to growing and building on Hive, and by engaging with our fellow Hivians we increase our potential for growth, individually and as a Hive. That will be our focus with these posts set to 100% Hive Power for maximum HP growth, to, in turn, support you and your savings goals! That's the true power of Hive, building connections and growing together.

To further encourage participation and growth, we'll hold a weekly draw where commenters from the previous week's post can win 1 unit of HiveSBI (HSBI), which will further help you grow as you post on Hive. 2 $SlothBuzz tokens, which can be used to curate content posted with the #Slothbuzz Tag. Plus, we're adding CommentRewarder to each post, so you can also earn a share of the weekly votes these posts receive.
We want to help you grow on Hive. Community and social experience are the backbone of Hive, so let's push forward and grow our power and presence on Hive by saving.
That's the gist of things. Share your weekly savings post. Add the Hashtag ??? To be decided by tomorrow, remember to vote in the comments! #SlothlySavers #SaturdaySavers #SlothSavers #ThursdaySavers. Set your target for the year. Make a weekly post holding yourself accountable. We're keeping it as simple as that. No forced day/time to post, just keep us up to date weekly and drop some love to your fellow savers.
We may add some more events/contests along the way. We want this to be a fun experience for Hive users, something that keeps them coming back, whether daily or weekly. Growing sloth and steady, or as buzzy as a bee!

That reminds me: Final mentions. The BusyBee's initiative is great for participants in a savings challenge and for encouraging small users to grow. Check out the Busybee community and update posts from Zakludick here. You could also consider using the #busybee tag if your savers' posts fit their niche.
Plus ALIVE Tribe, who were also considering launching SaturdaySavers posts, check them out and consider using #ALIVE tag if your content fits their criteria.
One last time, consider checking out the Year end post of SaturdaySavers in 2021, there are many great tips for saving and more details on the initial idea!
Well, talking of savings, I should probably make a Too Long, Didn't Read, for the majority of us sloths who want the short version! This sloth might like writing, but when reading, I tend to skip to the 'good bits' or miss the point completely and return weeks later and realise my slothfulness cost me more time!

Welcome to Week 1 of the 'new' savings Challenge on Hive
We'll see you tomorrow for more, but hopefully shorter, more direct posts and the first 'real' week of the #SlothlySavers Savings Challenge on Hive!

@slothlydoesit sorry for tagging, just making sure you see it.
First: there's no restrictions on the sloth tip command. Anyone seem to be able to use it and without limit. I believe that could lead to a massive drop in value (more than what has recently been taking place).
Second:
Love the new website, https://slothbuzz.vai.gg/, but the login stuff isn't totally correct.
The link to slothbuzz wallet doesn't work. Shown around the "how to login" on https://slothbuzz.vai.gg/login.
And maybe cut down on the replies from the bot too. I've seen countless bots being downvoted and all that for spamming. Not sure if it'll help, but if the replies are necessary, rewards should be either declined or burned.
Thanks again for the feedback, the website still has a ways to go, but that is our 'core' vision for now.
The tipbot, yes, restrictions will be placed, and I'm hoping to have a daily/weekly post in place again sooner rather than later. I totally agree that having bot spam on every thread is a nuisance that can be avoided.
As for the login options at Slothbuzz, the wallet has not been launched yet, so the link is broken. We'll have that fixed as soon as we're able.
We have a mobile wallet/App currently being tested and will soon launch, which will allow logging in via that. For now, the browser option should work without issue.
Thanks again for taking the time to look around and for providing feedback. We really do appreciate it, especially at this early stage.
Let me know if you want an extra tester ok the wallet/app š

We're going ahead with #SlothlySavers! We look forward to your participation in the challenge! Thanks for your support.
I still have to decide on my 2026 Hive Goals. I smashed all three of my primary 2025 Hive Goals, and I'm in a quandary about what to choose for this year. Hopefully I'll do that soon. My own account is growing well now, and across several metrics, so most of my focus as of late has been directed at building and growing our 'We Are Alive Tribe' financial system and economy. I look forward to participating in the new #SlothlySavers Club (I'm glad that you dug my tag suggestion), and to assisting and supporting you in running it, to the degree that it would be beneficial and useful. Thank you again for suggesting our #Alive tag, it's much appreciated. A quick question, how many goals for each individual will be tracked? The SSC used two, one primary, and a secondary. I kind of like 3, not too few, or too many. šššāØš¤

LOHtokens.@tydynrain, you successfully shared 0.1000 LOH with @slothbuzz and you earned 0.1000 LOH as tips. (2/5 calls)
Use !LADY command to share LOH! More details available in this post.
There's no rush, we'll add you to the list of members in the upcoming posts, and you can drop your savings goals when you have them. We're following suit and have 2 main goals to track; we may add more if the need arises. We're rushing ahead with things, but open to feedback and suggestions, and always flexible with our approach. We'll see how things go in the first couple of weeks and build on the buzz from there! Thanks again for your support. We look forward to strengthening the Hive with continued support and success!
That sounds good, my friend, and thank you, I appreciate it. OK, I'll come up with 2 soon. You got it, you're most welcome, and ditto that! šššāØš¤
Thanks for mentioning the We Are Alive Tribe wishing you success with your initative @slothbuzz why not have multiple tags and allow people to use the ones they prefer.

Thanks for your support! We're more than happy to have multiple tags, but we need a 'main' tag for our branding etc.
I think we've settled on 'SlothlySavers' as suggested by one of the awesome ALIVE users! It's catchy, and on point for the goals of the savings challenge! All other tags are accepted. We're not too strict on the rules, but we will make another post to refine them soon!

Thanks! We hope you'll join us with our weekly #SlothlySavings event!
Simply set your 2026 #SlothlySDavers goal and work towards it each week, it could be a HivePower (HP) Milestone, a HBD savings amount locked away or a real world monotery goal! The possibilities are endless. Come and join the weekly fun!
Thank for bringing new life into the Saturday Savers. I wish you great success with it and hope many are encouraged to save slow and steady.
I like the Saturday Savers cause its been used for 5 years already and is known but SlothSavers is catchy as well and more on brand for you š
Thanks! We love the way SaturdaySavers encouraged posting and growth to Hive, we feel it would be a shame to let that buzz fade. If it encourages even one person throughout the year to keep their buzz and slothly build towards their savings, it's a success in our eyes.
#SlothlySavings, sloth and steady.
WOW, the Sloth buzzes fast!
I set my Savings goals the other day, before I noticed SaturdaySavers wasn't returning, you could say I have the savings bug on Hive!
Glad to see #slothbuzz taking this on and continuing the buzz! Personally, I love the name #SlothlySavers, although I might be biased, SlothlyDoesit right!
Here is my savings goals for 2026, good luck to all savers, looking forward to the new Thursday update posts!

I want' to have $1K in savings here till end of the year, at least :)
Awesome! You should make a weekly post about your savings journey, using the #SlothlySavers! Let's save together, sloth and steady!
Difficult one with the tags. I like the 2 main candidates a lot. Also the #saturdaysavers, but that's mostly for the community that already has that under their skin. I really can't decide which one should be the main tag 𤯠Possibly #slothlysavers
As for the weekly updating, will the be a comment to your post, a post from one self with the tag we decide on, or a post with a link to the post as a comment to your weekly post?
Not quite sure why, but I kinda read all 3 versions in this post š
Also, testing the tip bot šŖš¼

Thanks for the feedback. #SlothlySavers has a certain ring to it. I think we'll go with that.
As for the reply/comment/post/wtf stuff! I agree, I need to clear things up a little. I will do so in the upcoming post. The goal is for users to create their own post, using #SlothlySavers, so we can find it, and reply to our weekly posts with a comment and link to their post. I believe that was how SaturdaySavers worked at its core, and I would like to continue that ease of use.
My personal opinion for the 'ease of use' would simply be to make it as easy for the community but also for the admins.
A script available to admins (or selected users) that generate a list with posts containing the #slothlysavers tag that has been published since the last time the script was run.
This list could then either be in a comment to previous weeks post, or be included in the current weeks post.
I haven't thought it through, that was just from the top of my head.

Okay, friends, congratulations on taking on this challenge. It's very interesting, especially because of the motivation to save. In my particular case, it serves as an excuse to make a post every week, in addition to trying to continue saving for future investments and achieve economic growth. If this serves as motivation for me, I will surely join the community, although I have not yet defined goals on this platform for this year.
As for the tags, I don't really care, but since you're taking on the challenge, I think you should choose the one that best identifies you.
Best wishes and good luck. I'll read your next post.

Thanks for your response. We've decided to use the tag #SlothlySavers. I think it best defines the movement and highlights what we're doing.
We look forward to hearing your goals for the year and supporting you along the way. There's no real rush, we're all a little sloth here!
I'm being slow (or perhaps that should be sloth....) to reply to this.....
First off, I'm hugely happy to see #SaturdaySavers continue in a new form. It was a really useful way yo keep me on-target, active and growing my Hive account.
I'd already committed to posting weekly updates in #BusyBees, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. Right now, weekdays of any kind are a whirl of real life and work commitments, which has really crimped my posting rate. So rather than trying to commit to doing a weekday post, what I'll aim for is a weekend one, but include the #SlothlySavers tag (and a mention), and then post the link in the following week's Thursday post. I'm not sure what that'll do to the week numbering, but I can live with that š
Hopefully that makes sense !
Sounds good to us, we're a little more sloth on a weekend, hence the decision to post on a Thursday Evening.
We're happy for users to post when ever, and where ever they like, we just wanted to continue the saturdaysavers momentum as we knew it was useful for some users to have that weekly commitment to keep them on track (really helped us over the last year!).
We look forward to your participation throughout the year, and wish you well on your savings journey!
