RE: Sam’s Hangout #130 - “FRIENDS, FAMILY & FEUDS"

Hi everyone. It is quite very easy to form an opinion based about someone based on what we were told. Let's imagine, my friend told me someone treated them badly and they warn me to be careful around them. It is natural that I may want to start being overly cautious around the person based on what i have heard. However, hearing from one side is not always the same as hearing from both parties. My friend may have genuinely being hurt and her feelings are valid but there could still be some details that she would have painted in her favour.

In my opinion, it is better to approach such situations by first listening to the warnings and not allowing someone's opinion totally form my opinion. I will get to know the person and observe the way they treat others and then create my own idea of them.

I have had instances when I moved to a new neighbourhood and someone had given me a bad opinion about a woman that sells groceries around the corner. But after some months of residing in the location I realised the things said about her isn't totally true.
