It remind me of an anime I watched last season about a guy that have a second chance at high school and be a more popular guy. The name is Hibara-Kun no Tsuyokute.

At least check the advances on youtube, and decide if its something you would like to watch. I felt this was a bit more mature story. Not as childish as other romcoms.
