I was in a guild in an MMO and paid for something in the store a couple of times... some sort of thing that made salvaging items a lot easier. I later would find out that some of my guild-mates, who also happened to be the best kitted out players and discovered these guys were spending around $500 a MONTH on their accounts.
to me that is just crazy talk for real.

Really that is crazy, that was the reason behind their in game success
That is more then 10× of my country minimum wage
Even in CODM i have been dying to the same set of pay to win players
With there mythic type-19
If i have money i will join them for sure
In-game purchases just improve the overall experience of the game
So i'm not really against it, but only when it's excessive
