Think NFTs are here to stay, have still a lot of potential, not just for collectibles but also for managing usage rights of all sorts. With NFTs it would be possible to proof to YouTube/Google that you have bought the usage rights for the background music.

I agree. I think they are here to stay too. I feel like a lot of the buzz around them jumped the gun a bit. I do think there is a lot of potential for the expansion of NFTs and accessibility to certain rights and privileges. It will be interesting to see where all of this stuff goes in the next decade or two! hahaha
