RE: The Arizona 25 Goldback, Celebrating the Lost Dutchman Mine

There are so many old mines in the southwest deserts, they are literally everywhere. I love going through the old tailings because they did miss quite a bit as mining was done quickly and efficiently. That means there is gold still in throw away section.

Apparently there are multiple Dutchman mines that are lost in multiple states. Why a Prussian became called a Dutchman? Who knows? It must all come from the same type of legend of Dutchman referring to lost, even the Flying Dutchman!

I'm sure you would catch all sorts of interesting activity on your spirit box, there was always a lot of death in those old mines. There are bound to be a lot of lost souls wandering not ready to move on for one reason or another.
