Yes it is an organ, and I used to sing up there on stage when I was in the choir, and play the violin too hehe!
Treasure Island ... well they say they the clue is in the title 🤣 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of course was another famous writer from Edinburgh. We were full of them at one point.
