RE: Apis Hive! What It Is, How It Works? .:. Recap of Hive Humpday Hangout Ep.39 with @LivingUKTaiwan + HHHLive Show Recording (February 19, 2025)

Hi there, the problem I see with retention on Hive is that many users were 'lured' here for the earnings. When they don't get that, or it dries up after a few months, they get frustrated and upset and leave. For those who do get whale votes, it comes too easily, becomes an entitlement, and they tend not to appreciate it.

What I want to do is to find the users who are not here primarily for the earnings, those who create good content, engage with people and build their account. Most importantly they appreciate Hive. The idea of Apis Hive is to support them and reinforce their belief (without sounding like a cult 😀).

The gamification part is to help them understand it is possible to grow your account organically. If you put in the work and dedication you will be rewarded with support in the long run from the community. It takes time and you need to have patience that's why the gamification part takes 138 days to earn 320 HP delegation. It's quite long time for not a massive delegation, but anyone is dedicated to doing that and keeping their account in good health during the period, surely has demonstrated their commitment to Hive and their trustworthiness to the community. I am confident there are enough middle class here who will see that and support them.

To answer your point about the 'fogginess' of the program, the end result of the gamification won't make a user rich, at most they will get 320 HP delegation. They may sound like a lot of effort for little return. But it's the process that matters, every action they make will have consequences. Whether its a good or bad one depends entirely on the user's action.

That's true, when I share hive links people immediately see the money earned and go like "oh I can earn 20$ just to write an article", then as you say they don't get attention (or write bad articles) and leave...

I like your program and I think 138 days is a fine number, because you need to avoid delegation to accounts that are just leeching and cashing out any reward earned here, so whoever is needs to show some commitment
