It makes you wonder how much is actually left after the taxes taken multiple hits on it.

When I remember learning about old civilizations and big empires, many times I heard how they exploited their citizens with "big" taxes... You had to give 10% of your gains!!! Compared to today's taxes, it's like a "baby tax"... lol...
When we would summarize all taxes, I bet it would be closer to 50% than to 10%... 😃
