RE: That moment you have to said I am sorry first even though you was the one being hurt.

When the Apostle Paul wrote this passage using the Greek word 'agape' meaning sacrificial Love. Not 'phileo' as in brotherly love, or "eros' as in sexual love but Agape. So even if we don't feel like loving our spouse we choose to love despite how we feel at that heated moment. We humble ourselves in that so lay the opportunity to resolve the issue immediately rather than let it fester and accumulate in your relationship.

You have said it all, in that heated moment is the test of Agape. Phileo will say I love you because you are nice to me today and Eros will say I love you because I want something attach to it. But Agape says I will love you even when you are not lovable, because love is who I am, not what you do. I learned this with my wife and sometimes I have to humble myself first, not because I am wrong, but because I value peace more than pride. Agape resolves today what phileo would allow to fester for weeks.

Thank you for sharing this.
