Maybe I'll rent some gear first (if you can do that at the courses) to make sure I like it—but I can't imagine I won't. It seems like a fun sport without the expense and snootiness of traditional golf. That would be fun! Maybe we can make that happen one of these days.
I've never been to a course where you can rent the discs, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. You can get a pretty decent starter set with a driver, midrange, and putter for around $25 off Amazon. That would be my recommendation. Then if you like it you can start digging into what the different numbers on discs mean and what they can really do.
