Yeah, I guess making it voluntarily would really go a long way. But I was also thinking that voluntary is many peoples' cue to not participate in anything. Perhaps if it's mandatory a lot of people who initially weren't really enthusiastic about joining will be glad looking back at the experience once the day is finally over?
And yes, a lot of exceptions will have to be made. Like the use of cars. That's probably too far. Lol
