RE: Reducing the mass extraction of Hive!

I know whose idea it was to pick Krampus, and why it was chosen ... and what also they created to bully people. I put in quite a lot of exposure work pushing back the worst of what Azircon and Slobberchops and Meesterboom and crew intended, including an entire account designed to bully people called Plonkety Piano. A lot of this dehumanizing language is hidden behind the cloak of Splinterlands, but people are not digital playing cards. Nor, in fairness, did this whole trend start there ... we had "milkers" before that, and it goes on and on while no real education is done so that users know what is expected of them. Hive has a sorry reputation in the real world because of this -- people with a bigger influencing reputation who would have been of help have left here using that reputation talking about how they were treated. There's a LOT of them, too.

There's also real crypto investing math. Hive is an altcoin. It is not in the top 100. It is not in the top 500. It is in the long, long tail of coins that are neither connected firmly to Bitcoin, Ethereum, nor Solana, and their burgeoning ecosystems. I am a real crypto investor. Leaving aside my knowing the story of Hive since before it became that -- I've been here seven years -- if I were to look at it as an investor, this would be my outside looking in experience:

1. Reputation: People are treated BADLY, being punished about rules they were never told existed, and there's perhaps as many as a million such stories out there.
2. DHF spending: millions of dollars out the door, but no tangible benefits for Hive, which suggests governance problems
3. DeFi: Feeless and fast, but invisible -- Ethereum and Solana take up so much of the market share that Hive, from rank 660, is not likely to grow enough to provide robust options
4. HBD interest: Variable, without warning on change made transparent. From 20 percent down and around to 10 percent in SIX MONTHS. I can't plan a portfolio on that. Again: governance problems implied
5. Difficulty of getting in and out of Hive on exchanges -- if I can't find it to buy it, I won't. If I can't see how to easily get out when I want to, I won't get in.
6. Confusion with the OTHER COIN named Hive, which is at least still in the top 500 and so will be seen far more often

Of those six things, we on the community level have just about as much daily control as we do of, say, the United States of America, except that AT LEAST the U.S. has a printed Constitution and some fealty left to it. We don't have that, so there is nothing to enforce justly, and this is how we have gotten to where Hive is often referred to with a sneer when discussed at all in broader sections of the crypto economy. We can still influence No. 1, however. We can re-humanize fellow Hive community members. They are not here to protect your investment in Hive, or mine. They are here for reasons of their own. They can be encouraged to understand how we can all profit together. They can be encouraged to contribute more, and checked when they plagiarize, AI-everything, and put forth low effort. But nobody signed on to an agreement on how to do this, and nobody therefore understood that they were supposed to be loyal to everyone's best interest. No one outside is coming to save Hive -- not in a down market period, on an altcoin ranked 660 on Coin Gecko. So: we had better not dehumanize and drive away the people we still have. Hive cannot die in the sense that as long as anyone is still interested in running a node, it will run. We are nearing the point, numbers-wise, in which not enough people will be left to care enough to ever grow it.
