"MOS is available as a production-ready operating system for mining operators, while the Mining SDK is announced as open-source software to encourage collaboration and ecosystem development." (To learn more, visit https://mos.tether.io/")
I looked it up because I saw it on Facebook and had to know what it was about.

Not everyone uses USDT, but this might be good if it levels the playing field, and decentralizes mining. However, are they mining USDT or mining BTC? Are they lending compute power to mine BTC, or are they helping mine the USDT supply? I think its the latter, but investigation is needed.

This shouldn't be a surprise because they announced this in 2025.
"During his speeches at Bitcoin Conference 2025 in Las Vegas, Ardoino revealed the company’s ambitions: “I think that it’s very realistic that by the end of the year, Tether will be the biggest Bitcoin miner in the world, even including all the public companies.”"
