In each country the tradition is different, for example here in Venezuela, family members usually put their relatives in institutions, generally it is because they cannot take care of them or because they do not want to. I had to put my father in an institution because I did not have the resources to care for him, but my story is very sad and painful due to different things, marked by family violence.

In general, my opinion is that older people should decide what they want, whether to remain active or simply stay in a nursing home. I believe that the decision of each grandparent should be respected.
