I've seen mention of the critical post, but haven't read it, nor the content of the person being criticized.

I try to remind myself why I am here... which is ultimately because I enjoy social blogging. As such, I end up seldom crossing paths with people who are not being social, and that works as a sorting mechanism for me.

That said, it bears remembering that people have different motivations for being here... and some of those are going to be entirely selfish.
