I never react impulsively to obstacles. I try to understand the situation before reacting. I look at why the obstacle exists and what I can do about it. I believe we shouldn't react the same way to every obstacle. To use a wall as an analogy: if there is a wall in front of me, I first look for a door. If there is no door, I try to find a spot where I can make a window.

That's a very good approach... I have to admit that I snap most of the time... My first reaction is anger, frustration... and usually I need time to get in the state you explained... to calm down, and look for the door or crack in the wall... I have to work on myself...
