I did enjoy this. I think it's deftly told, in the way that you don't tell us what she did to save her love, but left it open to the imagination.

I also really liked the depiction of death's "black, glacial eyes" and "obsidian pits".

I don't quite believe that Fate doesn't care. I think he is a bit partial to her.

Very engaging.
