In Blog Post One I gave myself all of February to collate my Sar Chona writing and work out how to wrangle it towards a novel.
It turns out there's a large block of it on my old computer and I've forgotten the password. I thought it was saved to the cloud, but it's not. It's locked away securely in the old machine. I may send the machine off to a data recovery specialist, but I don't want the time that may take to slow me down.
So, I've gone to outlining chapters and sections, and will have to write some of them out without referring back to what I've already written. There's part of me which thinks this could be a good thing.
Anyway, the grid looks like this so far:
From this point I need to average 580 words a day to be done by my JUne 30th deadline. Not an insurmountable challenge by any metric.
One of the things I've realised in the last few days is I dont really have a concept of whether there is a celebration of solstice or not, and also I need to decide if it's a winter or summer solstice. That needs decided pretty much immediately as it being summer or winter will determine how things write weather wise, and if there is a seasonal celebration I need to think about how it affects what folks may be doing.
Now, ahead of schedule, I get to start writing. Oh dear.
finally, just going to tag in @alessandrawhite & @bitterirony to let them know where they can follow the novel's progress.
