Well, a scolding only a mother can give. I'm sure it left Jon speechless to discover his mother heard him acting like a chauvinist. An excellent scenario for the prompt. At some point in our lives, all spouses and mothers feel like they are being taken advantage of. I know I have. Now my grown children understand my angst.
