Launch of the Non-Profit Association: Delayed, but Not Abandoned

The establishment of the Principality of Bastion non-profit association (ASBL) is currently experiencing a delay beyond our control.

We are still waiting for the opportunity to meet with the people who will be able to assist and guide us through the various administrative and legal procedures required to establish the association. Belgian legislation concerning non-profit associations involves a considerable body of rules and requirements, and we believe it is essential to approach this process with the guidance of qualified people in order to ensure that the association is properly and correctly established from the outset.

Among the people we still need to meet is a social worker, whose advice is particularly important given our current circumstances and the procedures we intend to undertake.

This delay does not mean that the project has been abandoned. The association has not been cancelled; its launch has simply been postponed.

Our determination remains entirely unchanged: we intend to establish the Principality of Bastion as an organisation capable of carrying out its projects, upholding its values, and making a meaningful contribution to the discussion and promotion of the Universal Basic Income Indexed to the Poverty Threshold (#AUISP).

We would rather take the necessary time to build this organisation properly than rush the process and risk making administrative or legal mistakes that could compromise the project in the future.

Your support is already welcome

Although the official establishment of the association still has to wait, those who wish to support the project can already do so through Hive.

Every sign of support, every interaction, and every person who chooses to stand alongside us helps increase awareness of the project and give it greater visibility.

The project is therefore moving more slowly than originally planned, but it is still moving forward.

We sincerely thank you for your patience, your understanding, and, above all, for your continued trust.

The Principality of Bastion is not standing still. We are simply taking the time to prepare the next step properly.

Lancement de l’ASBL : un projet retardé, mais nullement abandonné

La mise en place de l’ASBL Principauté du Bastion connaît actuellement un retard indépendant de notre volonté.

Nous sommes toujours dans l’attente de pouvoir rencontrer les personnes susceptibles de nous accompagner et de nous guider dans les différentes démarches administratives et juridiques nécessaires à la création de l’association. La législation belge en matière d’ASBL constitue en effet un véritable ensemble de règles qu’il est préférable d’aborder avec l’aide de personnes compétentes, afin de garantir dès le départ une structure conforme et correctement établie.

Parmi les interlocuteurs que nous devons encore pouvoir rencontrer figure notamment une assistante sociale, dont les conseils sont importants au regard de notre situation et des démarches que nous souhaitons entreprendre.

Ce délai ne signifie donc aucunement que le projet est abandonné. L’ASBL n’est pas annulée : son lancement est simplement reporté.

Notre volonté demeure pleinement intacte : faire de la Principauté du Bastion une structure capable de porter ses projets, de défendre ses valeurs et de contribuer concrètement à la réflexion et à la promotion de l’Allocation Universelle Indexée au Seuil de Pauvreté (#AUISP).

Nous préférons prendre le temps nécessaire pour construire cette structure correctement plutôt que de nous précipiter et risquer de commettre des erreurs administratives ou juridiques qui pourraient compromettre la suite du projet.

Votre soutien reste néanmoins le bienvenu dès maintenant

Même si la création officielle de l’ASBL doit encore attendre, celles et ceux qui souhaitent soutenir le projet peuvent déjà le faire par l’intermédiaire de Hive.

Chaque signe de soutien, chaque interaction et chaque personne qui choisit de nous accompagner contribue à faire connaître le projet et à lui donner davantage de visibilité.

Le projet avance donc plus lentement que prévu, mais il avance toujours.

La Principauté du Bastion n’est pas à l’arrêt. Elle prend simplement le temps de préparer correctement la suite.
