It used to be that a photo was taken as proof of how things were, but now we have to trust them less. This may have implications in various areas. I try to avoid using AI for anything unless it can actually do something useful for me. I am not using it for anything on Hive for now. I don't need it to make images for me, although I did use some ages ago a few times when I was playing around. The technology has improved since then, but a lot of the images are very obviously AI.

If I am using AI for images, I don't really mind that they look like AI. I'd be more than willing to admit I didn't make or take the images myself if I were looking to get across a specific theme or concept. I understand what you are saying though. I try to use it as little as possible. On the same token, I'm also trying to learn more about it in other areas so I won't be left behind.
