I am so sorry for the loss of your neighbors and the impact this has had on you.
Sharing it understandably helps you process what happened.
Despite the sadness, it is admirable that you find moments of beauty in your surroundings, such as snow and the company of your adorable Labrador.
I hope that 2026 brings better news and that you find comfort in the memories and in the people around you.
I wish you a lot of strength and a year full of hope.

Much appreciated. I am moved by your words of encouragement.
I have learned many years ago on how to see beauty in sadness. A loss makes me rewind many memories and play back the moments that created unique relationships.
Shane was only 9 years younger than me. We were in the same Candle Pin bowling league for many years. His whole family are known for their ability to be above average bowlers. Before his father passed I was a signature witness for the transfer of the home to Shane. His mother ran a day care and our first born went there for a period of time.
Ed, many thanks for all the support you continue to give me and many other Hivers. It is having a much needed positive impact on Hive community as a whole and definitely for the ALIVE community, The BBH Project and many more where I noticed your engagement.
For me, I don't separate Hive life from off-chain life so you have had a positive impact on my ability to see things from differing perspectives.
All the best to you as well in 2026

I am very optimistic, in a well grounded way about the future of The PEPT Game
