I totally understand your take on history and monuments,I strongly believe that no matter what happen, history can never be forgotten and some of this monument that depict harm to the society in the past should be kept in a monument park where people can go and watch them.
But erecting publicly might bring about the pain of the past. Just like people are different, we react to things differently.

History should never be forgotten, yes. Monument Park, that sounds nice. Didn't really think of that. Yes, doing so could bring pains of the past.
