I resonate with this, particularly from the motherhood angle. While I've got no babies of my own yet, I do see a lot of new mothers desperate for their babies to have everything, things that kids often don't actually need to be happy, and that put an unnecessary strain on the parents. You're 100% right, the more things you own, the more time they take up, and that's the one commodity we really can't afford to waste.
