Why not ask a coin shop if they have a fake silver coin. They do vary in from the good quality fakes to the soooo cheap that you can spot it a kilometer away. I have a silver plated Steel coin that is marked "fake" I got from Ebay (Knowing it as fake). But I also am aware of other types of fake coins, even fake NGC PCGS coin slab holders to be watchful for.
