I think manuals are more or less boring to read unless we really have a problem with our device that needs solving and the manual becomes our only last resort. I personally make sure to keep them somewhere that I can easily access as most devices nowadays have increased frequency of problems once they're purchased. You use them for a few months or so and then it seems the system is having a panic attack :)
