RE: Making LBI more liquid.

Very nice, I don't hold much LSTR so I didn't join that pool but it would be good to see more LP rewards.

However, as others have asked where would growth come from then? Personally I think that the amount given to the LP should depend on how important it is. Its been a while since I've done a direct LBI for HIVE with silverstackeruk so I don't know if direct cash-ins are still an option.

If this is no longer an option, then the percent going to the LP could be higher, around the amount you suggest. If direct trade is still ongoing, I think we should still keep a good amount of reinvestment percentage.

I would love to see LBI's value grow and the reinvestment strategy is a key part of that which is why I am hesitant to completely remove that part.

The reinvestment strategy is only a very small portion of our growth to be honest. Last week it was worth around 40 HIVE. Here are all the ways LBI grows and compounds besides that:

  • 40 DAB earned per week (40 HIVE value)
  • 20 DBOND per week (20 HIVE value)
  • 30 EDSI per week (30 HIVE value)
  • 20 PWR per week (currently being swapped to around 50 HIVE per week)
  • 17.5 HP per week from inflation
  • ??? HP from post payouts

So there is 160 ish HIVE value added to the fund each week. None of this goes in to the "Income" pot, it is all asset growth. As I see it, all that asset growth is built in, and much of it is very predictable. I'd love to see most of the income we generate go back to LBI holders, and let these assets grow over time.

P.S. No longer any direct buy in options for LBI - supply is capped and we can't issue any new tokens. If anyone wants more, gotta buy them off the market or out of the pools.

Oh in that case, I don't mind having the reinvestment part get diverted to the LPs. Looks like it'll mean more income for me anyways lol.

Keep it up, you've been doing a good job with LBI.
