Great response to the question! As you've stated, cultural appreciation should be encouraged, but many at times, it becomes appropriation because a large number of people fail to acknowledge the source and that raises the issue of ownership. The excitement to appear in a different attire specifically on one's wedding also stems from the lack of appreciation for their own culture. The concerns are valid, however, no one can be restricted from wearing whatever they like.
