Kung Lao is one character I always underestimate until my friend used him to wipe my scorpion silly.
People always say he's boring and end up underestimating him because he doesn't have flashy moves but he's a Shaolin monk, he's not supposed to be flashy. In close combat, he's top 5 in MK and he can throw his hat at you if you start zoning.
My only issue with this MK1 iteration is that they didn't add his teleportation and you can't use that his spin during a combo.
The spin is the problem and his hat can cover a long distance.
