RE: Island Time

Beautiful pic of the butterfly! I recognize that one immediately because that species is here in The South, too — the Red-Spotted Purple (Limenitis arthemis astyanax). They're hard to photograph because they seldom sit still for long after landing somewhere, so you did a great job! 🦋

Looks like a perfect place to hike! The trails are clear, and the views are lovely among the trees. I am a bit surprised at how clear the underbrush is; there's nothing but "old growth" forests around here, and you can't see the ground between the trees for all the wildflowers, weeds, and brambles growing between. 😜

Regarding the kayaks, I have a suggestion... some places along lakes rent kayaks and canoes by the hour. You could get the experience without spending a ton of money. And it would be a good way to "test drive" a kayak before deciding if you really wanna invest some moola $$ into a couple of your own. 🙂

Yours & Mrs. Bozz's burgers look yummy, and those Tater Tots look so good! I like mine crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside, and those look like they fit the bill! 😋

The tots were fire for sure! We have rented kayaks in the past and we know we prefer the "sit on" kind versus the "sit in" ones. We have a lot of old growth here too l, I'm guessing it was just different here due to the lack of sunlight or the location on the island.
