Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary Set Reveal Tomorrow!
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is marking 30 years since its 1996 debut with a special "30th Celebration" set launching worldwide this September. The set kicks off in Japan on September 16. Each booster pack contains six foil cards, featuring a guaranteed Pikachu variant from a chase set of 30 unique designs, along with a brand-new rarity tier highlighting iconic Pokémon such as Mewtwo. Tomorrow at 13:00 UTC, Pokémon Japan will reveal full details on its official YouTube channel, including a Premium Deck Set starring Espeon and Umbreon. Collectors are already buzzing with speculation, debating the perfect mix of nostalgic reprints and exciting new artwork.
It still remains to be seen if and how these cards will appear in the new Anniversary set, the trailer featured the tagline Celebrating 30 Years. Here’s a complete list of every card revealed in the trailer, as well as two key artworks of Mew and Mewtwo, the Future Awaits.
The cards shown in the preview included the Pikachu from Base set, Charizard from Base set, Palkia Lv.X from Great Encounters, Lugia from Aquapolis, Uxie from Legends Awakened, Darkrai & Cresselia Legend from Triumphant, Pikachu & Zekrom from Team Up, Raikou from Vivid Voltage, Zacian V from Sword & Shield, and finally Arceus VStar from Brilliant Stars.
