Today I decided to pick up a few of the "floor" Hive Punks from Punks On Hive, the legacy NFT project from several years ago. Our very own Hive version of the viral Crypto Punks NFT project that went crazy during the peak of NFT season. Prices have never been this low with Hive trading at only 5 cents right now, these floor punks only cost me 15 Hive ($0.75) each! I remember when they minted at over $16 each because they were 20 Hive to mint when it was around 80 cents per Hive.

This brings our total Hive Punk collection (See Here!) to 64 total punks, which is around 0.64% of the total supply. Most of these were picked up for rock bottom prices over the last two years as people continually capitulated. Eventually I believe these will make some sort of a comeback as they are a legacy project now on Hive. The blockchain is forever and as long as we have a working front end to trade and see this collection it will have a shot at a magnificent return from obscurity.

Tons of Hive users bought these when they came out and it was quite the trading frenzy. Some of the top NFTs were selling for THOUSANDS of dollars as collectors snatched up the rarest traits. My best sale during this time was about $2,600 off a super rare mint - not bad for a $16 mint cost at the time (20 Hive).

I have been patiently waiting for more people to list their punks at insanely low prices but it seems like those who wanted out already dumped. So for now I foresee myself continuing to pick up a floor punk from time to time, as long as the price is right.
