Scaling Down Engine Operations
Hey guys, I'm trimming down some of the public services that I run related to engine.
My engine witness has going offline. I originally planned on switching accounts that I was going to run as, but later decided that I'm just not going to continue running a witness node. If you previously voted for @h-e, I'd recommend that you unvote the account and instead vote some of the other great people running nodes.
The public available that I run is going offline on December 31, 2023. In the coming year, you'll have to either run your own testnet or hopefully, one of the other witnesses spins one up. I will be taking a db dump after the testnet gets shut down and will have the snapshot publicly available on one of my file servers(post will be updated at a later date with the link to it). If someone else does decide that they want to take it over, I'll be willing to work with them to get things migrated over smoothly for devs.
My public rpc and history nodes are staying up, but have had their rate limits and other security rules tightened in order to bring down misbehaving requests. If you have any question related to this, and how this can affect you, feel free to ask in the comments and I'll get to answering when I see them.
