Today marks another step in my ongoing Hive/HBD journey, where I track the performance of my Hive Power, HBD Savings, and trading balances to see how they compare over time.

The split is nearly even, with trading having a slight edge of about $8.25 today. This balance between stable savings and more active trading is keeping my overall portfolio healthy and flexible.

🔹 Insights for the Day

Hive ticked up slightly from the recent dip, while HBD remains just under peg at $0.986. The trading side is holding strong, and the small gains continue to compound. My decision to keep both Hive Power and HBD Savings intact ensures I’m building a foundation, while trading gives me the chance to take advantage of daily price moves.

📝 Weekly Summary (Aug 15 – Aug 21, 2025)

This past week has been a rollercoaster for Hive prices, ranging from $0.2159 to $0.2291 before dipping back to the low $0.20s today. During this period:

Hive Power grew steadily thanks to staking and compounding, now sitting above 2,200 HP.

HBD Savings has remained consistent around $183–185, providing a stable anchor.

Trading balances fluctuated the most — at one point dropping to near-zero HBD when buy orders all executed, then rebounding as Hive shifted back and forth.

Overall, the combination strategy is working well: ✅ Savings builds long-term stability. ✅ Trading captures volatility for short-term growth. ✅ Together, they’ve kept the portfolio balanced around $1,300 despite price swings.

📈 Final Thoughts

The experiment continues to show promise. Even though Hive has been under pressure price-wise, the disciplined split between savings and trading helps smooth out the ride. The key takeaway this week: compounding through active trading while maintaining strong Hive Power makes the whole portfolio stronger, regardless of short-term volatility.
