The Scarleth Rose

Part 4

The man Scarleth had saved on the building's terrace appeared from among the sakura trees, holding his arm and walking somewhat erratically, and approached the two warriors fighting to the death. Scarleth looked at him and lowered her katana, turning toward him.

“What are you doing here? This man is very dangerous and can take your life in the blink of an eye. Get out of here!” Scarleth took the man by the arm and motioned for him to leave.

“I have come to prevent you from committing a crime, not only against that man but against yourself. Leave it and let's get out of here. Don't spill the blood of that deranged man.” The man took Scarleth's hand.

The scarlet lady didn't know why that man had so much power over her, but she let herself be led by him, no longer caring about the fight. The sakuras continued to fall, painting the landscape pink. Scarleth put the man's arm around her shoulders and helped him move to get out of that place.

“Where are you going?” Alfil got up clumsily, covered in blood. “You must finish me off, murderer, or you will regret it.”

“Alfil, you're already finished. Get out of here, and if you want to kill me, do it another time. I'll be waiting for you.” Scarleth kept walking with the man without looking back.

“You won't humiliate me like this, damn you. Die now.” Alfil grabbed the Gauntlet with his good arm and delivered a powerful blow of air.

Scarleth threw the man down and drew her katana as she jumped high into the air and spun around to escape the slashing wave. She then landed near Alfil and cut off one of his legs with her katana, causing Alfil to fall to the ground screaming in pain, blood gushing out. The crimson color stained the sakura flowers.

“Stay there or the next thing I cut off will be your head.” Scarleth furiously pointed her katana between Alfil's eyes. “Do you understand?!”

"Kill me, murderer. You have turned me into a useless warrior. I am nothing now. If you don't kill me, I will kill myself." Alfil turned around and took a cyanide pill out of one of his pockets.

“Your punishment is to live in misery. You must face it, and when you want revenge, come find me.” Scarleth took the cyanide pill from him and threw it away.

The scarlet lady turned around and walked toward the man. With slow, steady steps, she left that place, leaving Alfil half dead. Scarleth reached the man and helped him up. He looked at the woman and, without saying a word, put his arm back on her shoulders.

They left that place, leaving Alfil to his fate. After a few minutes, the man broke the silence. “What will happen to that warrior?”

“He will not die by my hand.” Scarleth looked at the horizon, heading towards the village. “I will take you to a hospital to have that wound treated.”

At that moment, a bright beam of light fell from the sky toward where Alfil was standing, and something like an explosion was heard. Then the intensity of that light caused Scarleth and the man to cover their eyes. A few seconds later, the light disappeared, and night once again enveloped the place. They continued on their way with the moon accompanying their steps.

“Escarleth, we will soon face each other, and I will show you no mercy. Haha.” Shauna's voice echoed through the forest as the sakura flowers continued to fall, covering the traces of the violent battle.

La rosa escarlata

Parte 4

«¿A dónde vas?».

«¡¿Entendiste?!».
