Excellent, than you certainly know what I'm talking about 🐳 I dived with Mike Ball's team at the Great Barrier Reef but haven't been to South Africa yet. Dived several times in Egypt (love wrack and night diving there), Mexico (cave & cavern diving), Florida Keys & Key West, Curacao, Sipadan (Borneo island) etc. Congrats for being an advanced diver. I'm a rescue diver. Really cool to connect with fellow divers here on Hive 😎

We did our Open Water in Brisbane mainly doing boat outings around North and South Shaddie. Never did get up to the Great Barrier Reef as we were on holiday visiting family based in Brisbane. Our Advanced Open Water was done in Sodwana Bay, South Africa. We had an open-air shower/toilet at the scuba camp site on the beach (huts) and the vervets used to visit us daily... unfortunately also a baby green mamba... that's another story and one that could have ended very badly! Luckily, I pulled off a crazy tuck and roll off the camp bed and took off at a speed of knots out the door to alert camp security. And then wouldn't let them leave my hut until they had found the little bugger... he had slid away and wrapped himself around the shower head after my narrow escape. !LOLZ (although hardly funny at the time!)
