I and dad were never like this. After the tragedy that befell our family of three, three months ago, he changed into a completely different person. The love I had witnessed between my parents, apart from those I had read about in my romance books, convinced me that true love existed. Dad and mom had loved each other so much and considering I was my mother's daughter, he was a perfect fatherly figure ever since they got married.

The city was a trading hub; the city wall was low and virtually decorative. The defenders were a handful of pretty but inexperienced Palace Guard and City Watch. They'd fought bravely enough but been overwhelmed within an hour. Mummies wrapped in sandy bandages and clattering skeleton warriors with bronze-tipped spears and curved-topped shields swarmed over the walls and slaughtered everyone they could find.

A couple of members that will definitely be featured in the awards. 😉 Just saying. Let's get to the showcase!
