Cooking takes a skill, but cooking from the heart requires more. This is why we ought to feed the soil.- Quote by Me.

It has been almost four days after the stranger meeting, and Rebecca's couldn't get her question off her head. It was like it was taunting her and the answer given. Well, who was she to be offended by it. It answered her question.

What are you? Her mind reminded her, and Rebecca almost rolled her eyes.

”But why did she answer with I am a human?” Rebecca asked quietly, still not getting over her embarrassment as she walked to school.

”Hey, little human!” she heard a voice call behind her, and Rebecca could have sworn it was the same voice.

No, that's not right. It can't be. What would she be doing here?” Her mind questioned as she walked on, ignoring the presence close to her.

”Are you running away from me?” The voice questioned, and Rebecca stopped in her tracks.

Turning her face to her right, she stopped herself from gasping at the lady's face again.

”Oh, hi. I am sorry for the other day.” Rebecca spoke, pulling herself together.

”That happens to the best of us. I assume I look like someone you know. I saw the look you gave me. Anyway, I am Jisoo and it is a pleasure to meet you.” Jisoo said with hands stretched toward Rebecca.

Staring at the hand, Rebecca stood still, unable to move. Why does life always bring someone new when I lost someone dear to me? Her mind reason.

”You know I don't bite, and my hands are well sanitised also. So, zero germs.” Jisoo spoke with a smile.

Letting out a huge sigh, Rebecca shook the hand. ”I am Rebecca, and I am late for class.” Rebecca replied, walking off.

Days, weeks, and months passed, and still Rebecca was unsure of her relationship with Jisoo. It was like Jisoo was always there. At school, at the charity homes and also, surprisingly, the place where she works. She met with the doctor who had told her about her grandma's death sitting side by side with Jisoo at the Shangmi Restaurant.

”I didn't know you worked here. How are you?” Jisoo had said, standing up to give Rebecca a hug.

”Have you placed your order yet?” Rebecca has questioned, ignoring Jisoo.

”Rebecca, right? Do you remember me?” The doctor boyfriend had questioned with a smile, and Rebecca had wished she hadn't come to work that day.

Of course, she remembers him. She barely interacts with people to forget a face like that, especially when meeting him has to deal with her grandma.

Taking their order, Rebecca had left and returned their order, ignoring the duo.

The next two days later, while Rebecca brought food to share among the people on the Charity home, she met with Jisoo again.

”I am sorry for the other night. I guess I passed my boundaries.” Jisoo said with a sad face.

”It is no problem.” Rebecca replied.

”I am sorry about your grandma.” Jisoo spoke quietly.

”I guess he told you about my grandma. It's okay. This is why I prefer being alone. Anyone close to me that I end up caring about ends up dying by that cursed number. I can't go through another heartbreak again.” Rebecca spoke truthfully, staring at Jisoo. ”It is not like I dislike you or anything. But I don't think I can handle going through that tough patch again. You once asked me if you remind me of someone…” Letting out a huge sigh, Rebecca continued. ”Your face reminds me of my dad, and your voice reminds me of my mom. It is like you took a little bit of them. I could have almost been convinced we are family if you weren't Korean.” Rebecca replied with a chuckle.

”I am sorry my presence reminds you of your pain, but that doesn't mean you should push people away. I don't understand the pains you've gone through in life. But I can tell you are a good person and I'd like to be friends, that's all.” Jisoo replied.

Shaking her head, Rebecca wasn't so sure, but deeply she knew she did enjoy Jisoo’s company. She has the light she carries around her, and it warms her.

Weeks and months passed briefly as Rebecca got more acquainted with Jisoo. She was always in her space anyway, so she gave their friendship a start, and with time, they were inseparable.

More months passed by, and before a blink of an eye, the bell of graduation rang.

”We are graduating soon.” Jisoo had screamed, and Rebecca had laughed. Never had she thought she'd celebrate her graduation with a smile.

A few months after their graduation, Jisoo opened her art studio while Rebecca got more acquainted with her new job. Her salary got increased as Rebecca's culinary skill became the best in England.

Many flock into the Shangmi Restaurant just to get a taste of her food, and Rebecca couldn't help acknowledging her grandma's knowledge as her statement filled her heart.

Always feed the soil.
