WhatsApp is topping the list

We all have different apps that take up our time, either positively or negatively, and that is just a normal thing. In this modern age where life is mostly spent through digital means, with phones being one of the ruling digital gadgets that help us navigate daily life, it is rare to see someone living alongside the modern age without being involved in one app or another.

WhatsApp is the most used app on my phone; it is my home, and I typically live my life there in peace.

WhatsApp is my messaging app: This is where I do almost all my messaging. I rarely use SMS or other social media platforms for messaging; WhatsApp is my go-to app. With the way WhatsApp is built, chatting is very easy, and that is why I love messaging there compared to other social media apps. In my line of work, information and messages are usually passed to me and others through WhatsApp, and that is also one of the reasons why my data is always switched on, to receive messages as soon as they come in and to reply quickly whenever I am free, or reply later whenever I am busy.

Another feature of this app that keeps me constantly active is the status feature. I have a lot of people on my contact list who share funny, informative, and responsible updates on their WhatsApp status. I enjoy watching those statuses, especially the videos, whenever I am free, as they keep me informed and entertained at the same time. I also enjoy updating my own status with memes, which makes it fun as well.

The other feature, known as channels, is one I am yet to fully embrace. I am still very comfortable using the usual style of WhatsApp status, even though I know that following channels is much better in terms of viewing updates and getting information based on specific fields of interest.

Each time I check the list of apps consuming the most data on my phone, WhatsApp is always at the top, and that is not an exaggeration at all, because I use it very frequently.
