Children's education allowance also now gives 72000 tax exemption.
Did the Govt increase this ? Earlier it used to be 100 rupees per month per children. And if you have ways to claim benefit, then old regime is best. For those who do not have much perks, new is better - I moved to new, after comparing both.

Yeah I think they have increased and only some companies are adopting all these things and luckily my company is giving me all these benefits to claim. So I'm still sticking around Old tax regime.
