Everybody talks about Hive going to market for selling
Nobody bats an eye 15% HBD savings.
HBD itself is a problem.
For any crypto currency, due to high volatility, it's impossible to have a stable coin. Discard HBD & see Hive surviving & surpassing like anything.

Yeah true but I don't think HBD alone is the problem. Spending a lot of money from DHF is also a problem. If there was a down vote button introduced in DHF, many proposals would never pass.
Having stable coin itself is a big loop hole.
Paying out half of the author/curation rewards in stable coin
Paying out proposals in stable coin
Paying out savings of stable coin in stable coin
Stable coin invites trouble, nothing else.
