How I Hope To Be Remembered
Some people live life carelessly without a defined goal. One of the major reasons why i don't really like socializing too much is because when I ask people what their plan for the future is, they sound as though they have given up in life. Most of them say they don't have a plan, and they just go with the flow of life. Anywhere they find themselves, they will keep moving and keep enjoying every moment they get.
While this can be a nice thing for some people, to me, its really not an ideal way to live. Setting goals has been part of me right from when i began to understand how difficult life can become. One question I always ask myself is this: What do you want to be remembered with?? This question have kept me going. It aids me while setting my goals and its leading me to the path I have chosen.
This post is not about goal setting and achieving, but it is a response to India United Contest, How you Want to Be Remembered? This question is thought provoking. Most times, asking myself this question comes with quite a lot of thinking. Do i want to be remembered as a drunkard that drinks heavily and come back home to beat his wife?? Do i want to be remembered as a rich and ruthless person?? Or do i want to be remembered as a kind Nurse that will go out of their way to ensure the safety of not only his patient, but also the people around him???
I have come to the end of myself to understand that we can be immortal. Even after we are no more in this world, we can still continue to live rent free in the hearts and minds of the people we positively impacted. There are some people that when remembered, curses follow. Ranting becomes the order of the day as thinking of their names brings back bad memories. Again, there are some that when you think of, you feel happy. Your day becomes joyful and nice.
When i'm no more, i would not want to bring bad memories when remembered. I would want to be remembered as a Nurse that tried his best to ensure the betterment of his patients and every other person around him.

This is a good legacy to be remembered for. A lot of people just live life as it comes without goals and aspirations.
Many people don't like nurses because of their uncultured way of talking and behavior. But because you have a goal, you can work towards being good and showing genuine care to your patients which will forever be their hearts.
True. But then, it is worth understanding that nurses are humans too. Sometimes, its not even the Nurse's fault but that of the patients relatives. Because someone is a nurse doesn't mean patient relative can talk to them in an insulting manner.
Yes Nurses are humans, but some of them act inhumane, like robots without feelings. I've had personal experiences.
Tho I don't relate to the medical field, but I really want to be remembered even when am gone from the earth, I trying as much as to leave beautiful legacy.
